Privacy notice
Stand
This notice describes how BerlinLocaleLab handles personal data. Our services are aimed at businesses in Germany and the EU, so the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) governs this processing.
1Who is responsible
BerlinLocaleLab is operated by Techno Hiker Pvt Ltd of India, the controller for this processing; its full provider details appear in the Impressum within our terms. Data protection requests can go to hello@berlinlocalelab.store or through the work order form.
2What we process, and on what basis
- Audit requests: name, email, type of business, website, markets and message; processed to take steps you ask for before a contract.
- Engagements: contracts, invoices, correspondence and reports; processed to perform the contract and meet record-keeping duties.
- Tool access you grant: mostly aggregated search and analytics figures; processed to perform the contract.
- Security data: minimal technical data that stops form abuse; processed in our legitimate interest in a safe website.
3What we would rather not receive
Customer records, login details and payment information are not needed for our work. Please leave them out; if they arrive anyway, we delete them.
4Cookies
Beyond a single strictly necessary cookie guarding the form, the site sets no cookies at all: nothing for statistics, marketing or tracking.
5Who else handles the data
A hosting company and an email provider process data for us as contracted processors. We sell no personal data, share none for others' marketing, hand it to authorities only under legal compulsion, and publish client names only with written agreement.
6Transfers beyond the EEA
Because BerlinLocaleLab is run from India and some providers are outside the European Economic Area, data will leave the EEA. We use safeguards recognised by the GDPR, such as the EU standard contractual clauses, and transfer only what the work needs.
7Storage periods
- Requests that do not lead to an engagement: erased within twelve months.
- Access to your systems: removed once our work ends.
- Invoices and accounts: stored as long as tax law demands.
8Your rights under the GDPR
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing that rests on legitimate interest. We answer within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one in the German state where you live or work.
