Fees in euros

German SEO pricing, taught in three stages

Our German SEO pricing follows the Bauhaus way of learning a craft: a preliminary course, then the workshop, then mastery. Each stage adds more of the German market to the work, is a fixed monthly fee in euros that drops on longer terms, and starts with a free market audit.

Compared

Evergreen Media, a German SEO agency, estimates that comprehensive SEO from a good firm costs about €1,000 to €8,000 a month in 2026, and that agency consultants in the German-speaking region charge €150 to €300 an hour.

All three stages fall inside that monthly range: Vorkurs and Werkstatt in its lower half, and Meister just past the midpoint. What each covers is described on Germany SEO, localisation, German content and Berlin SEO.

A month on each course

CourseUsual monthly work
VorkursAudit fixes for one German site: legal basics, checkout wording, closed user group boundaries, a few key pages and a written report
WerkstattEverything in Vorkurs, plus German categories, product pages and Ratgeber content from German research, and Berlin local work where relevant
MeisterEverything in Werkstatt for larger sites or German, Austrian and Swiss versions, with quarterly planning

Month one carries the audit findings and the first fixes, and is invoiced at the usual course fee.

Choosing a course

Vorkurs suits sites whose German foundations need setting right before anything else. Werkstatt suits sites ready to build German content that ranks. Meister suits brands with several German-speaking markets or a large catalogue. The free audit usually points to one course, and where Vorkurs will do, that is our advice. Many brands start there for a fixed term and move on to Werkstatt once the foundations hold.

Fees, VAT and notice

Course fees are invoiced monthly in euros, at the quoted rate, with VAT added where EU rules require, and invoices are due fourteen days after issue. A fixed term of three, six or twelve months comes with a lower monthly fee. After a fixed term, and on rolling terms, either side may end the engagement with thirty days' notice in text form, as the terms set out.

Translation and legal review

German writing is part of every course. Legal review is not: the Impressum, terms, privacy notice and withdrawal notice should be checked by a German lawyer, and we work alongside yours and supply the German page context they need. Large translation volumes beyond a course's scope are quoted separately and in writing before any work begins.

Changing course

Moving up to a larger course can begin with the next invoice, which suits brands adding Austria or Switzerland mid-year. Moving down normally waits until a fixed term runs out. Everything the workshop produces for you, from keyword maps to German page briefs, is yours to keep, whether or not you stay with us.

Busy and quiet months

German retail peaks around Valentinstag, Black Friday and Weihnachten, and Berlin venues around CSD and Folsom Europe. Heavier German writing is planned for the weeks before those peaks, and quieter months are used for fixes, research and testing. The course fee stays the same throughout the year.

Outside every course

  • Promised German rankings or sales
  • Help around age verification or the closed user group
  • Legal advice; we work alongside your lawyer
  • Escort or sexual-services clients
